# Changelog

Every change to Cyanotype, newest first. Versions are the timestamp of the change
(`YYYY.M.D-HHMM`).

## 2026-10-31 - 02:49

### Changed

- The site's accent carries both themes (owner: the blueprint look and the red and yellow highlights of the website were missing). Light: the editor on the site's paper (`#f2f6fb`); red for keywords, `this` / `self`, decorators, the cursor, the active line number, the focus ring, badges, find matches and links; functions line blue, types bright blue, numbers and constants ochre; a navy status bar. Dark: amber for keywords, `this` / `self` and decorators; functions sky blue. Both: the current line drawn as a hairline rule, not a filled band. Contrast (59 pairs per theme) and syntax coverage (21 languages) still pass.

### Added

- The explainer shows the themes: VS Code with Cyanotype Light and Cyanotype Dark side by side on the TypeScript sample, the extension installed from its package.

## 2026-10-31 - 01:57

### Added

- Syntax rules both themes lacked, found by the new coverage check (owner question: does it colour programming languages properly? It did not, fully): `this` / `self` / `super`, namespaces and modules, constants and enum members, fields and C# parameters, CSS and SCSS variables, TOML keys, character literals, HTML entities and format placeholders, Rust attributes, annotations and decorators, Markdown strikethrough. Semantic tokens: struct, enum, type parameter, namespace, read-only variable, macro, decorator.
- `scripts/coverage.mjs` (in `pnpm test`): tokenises 21 sample files in `samples/` with Shiki, VS Code's own grammars, and fails on any token left in the default ink other than ordinary names and prose; self-check both ways. Before the new rules: 40 unexpected scopes per theme; after: none.
- `samples/`: one file per language, to see the themes on real code (left out of the package).

## 2026-10-31 - 01:33

### Added

- **Cyanotype Light** and **Cyanotype Dark**, two colour themes from the Nifty Little Tools
house style (owner request 2026-10-30): the editor, the whole workbench, the terminal's ANSI
colours and semantic tokens, from the tokens in the `cyanotype-web-design` skill.
- `scripts/contrast.mjs` (`pnpm test`): every syntax colour and the main text pairs at WCAG 4.5:1
(line numbers and placeholders 3:1), with a self-check both ways; 45 pairs per theme pass.
- The house logo (the tile with a palette glyph) and its 128 px Marketplace icon; the explainer
site; GitLab Pages CI for it; README, licence and repository files.
